“The boat was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a small canteen that was great. Just a warning/tip, on windy days the ride is quite choppy. I don’t get seasick or carsick and I was within a few minutes of vomiting (the rest of my family was feeling the same way). I would highly recommend getting motion sickness meds before going on the boat. We bought some when we arrived in Mykonos and the ride back was excellent for our whole family. “The trip with Alexander Cruises has been great. They have been extremely punctual throughout which was good. Delos is absolutely worth it but I recommend getting a separate guided tour - it will greatly enhance your experience. You cannot get a tour in the island, so make sure you book it beforehand (we used Delos Tours and was great). Mykonos was also special. The only recommendation I have is to check the weather and particularly the wind conditions before going, especially if you are not used to travel by boat. The boat is medium sized so if the sea is rough, you will feel it. The sea was really choppy…”
Take the controls of a private motorboat for up to six people from Aliki port. After a short briefing, follow the coast at your own pace, stopping to swim, snorkel, visit caves, and see Despotiko. Fuel is extra, and no captain comes aboard.
“Overall this was a very fun activity - it was great to have the freedom and flexibility to go anywhere we wanted on our own schedule. For first-time boat drivers, it was slightly challenging and the wind made it more difficult to navigate in the marina. Secondly, we did not have internet service and did not get a map so we just winged it on the locations to stop at.
